⚠️ Increase in Vehicle Crime Across the Area ⚠️

With a recent increase in vehicle thefts across the area, we're reminding residents to take a few simple steps to help protect their vehicles.

🔒 Always lock your vehicle, even if leaving it for only a short time. 🔑 Keep keys, including spare keys, away from doors and windows and consider using a signal-blocking pouch for keyless vehicles. 🚗 Remove valuables from sight or take them with you. 💡 Park in well-lit areas where possible and consider additional security devices such as steering wheel locks, trackers or alarms. 📹 Check that home CCTV and doorbell cameras are working correctly.

Criminals are often looking for easy opportunities. By taking a few extra precautions, you can significantly reduce the risk of becoming a victim.

If you see anyone acting suspiciously around parked vehicles, please report it to us. In an emergency or if a crime is in progress, call 999. For non-emergencies, report online or call 101.
